Make in your sleep pot roast dinner

Throw in at 2:00, practically forget about it, eat at 6:00. To really please the family, put a dozen frozen rolls out in the morning to defrost and rise, pop in the oven right before dinner.

Cook time: 240 minutes
Serves 6 people

Ingredients
- 2-3 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 lb roast
- Water
- 1 envelope Lipton Onion soup mix
- 4 large potatoes, cut in large chunks (peeled or not is up to you)
- 1 lb bag baby carrots
Directions

In large pot, brown roast on all sides in hot oil.

Dump in soup mix and enough water to cover roast, place lid. Cook for 3 hours over medium-low heat. Check occasionally to make sure it’s at a low boil and not a vigorous boil so that it won’t be dry and tough.

Dump in baby carrots, cook 30 mins.

Dump in potatoes, cook additional 30 mins.
