Miss Ina’s Down-Home Rice Pudding

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rice
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 3/4 cup brown or granulated sugar

  1. Combine all the ingredients in the rice cooker. The cooker will turn off when

  3. Heat the oven to 350°F.

  4. Pour the cooked rice into a greased baking dish; cook in the oven for 30 or 40 minutes.
