Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients

  • Beef, cut into chunks
  • Butter
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 onion, grated
  • 2 cans tomato paste (dilute with 1 cup of water)
  • 1 can of beer
  • 3 pounds of whole mushrooms
  • Flour (dissolved in water)
  • Sour cream

Directions

  1. Saute the onions in butter

  2. In a pressure cooker saute beef in butter.

  3. Add bay leaf and garlic

  4. Add the beer

  5. Add the diluted tomato paste

  6. Close the pressure cooker and cook for about 1/2 hour. Allow all of the pressure to escape before opening pressure cooker.

  7. Add the sauteed onions and the mushrooms to the pot.

  8. Add the flour that has been dissolved in the water to the juice and cook until slightly thickened.

  9. Mix some of the juice with a few tablespoons of sour cream and pour over the meat.
