Cinnamon Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 2 T sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 T butter

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Spray loaf pan with cooking spray and set aside.

  3. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, eggs, buttermilk, extract, and oil.

  4. Beat/whisk together for about 2 minutes.

  5. Pour batter into a prepared pan and smooth top.

  6. In a small bowl combine sugar and cinnamon and cut in butter using a knife and fork until mixture is crumbly.

  7. Sprinkle cinnamon mixture on top of batter.

  8. Use a knife and cut in a swirling motion, giving it a marble effect.

  9. Place in oven and bake for 50 minutes.

  10. Test with toothpick.

  11. Allow to cool for a few minutes before removing loaf from pan.
