- quince
- apples
- sugar
- water
- 3 or 4 cloves
Directions

Peel quince, slice in half and carve out the core and seeds with a spoon. Save the seeds for cooking.

Grate an apple and spoon into the carved out section of each quince.

Sprinkle a spoonful of sugar on top of the apple filling.

Place the apple-filled quince into a large, shallow pot. Fill with enough water so that it comes up to the first digit of your finger. Add the quince seeds and cloves to the water for color.

Cook on low heat until quince is to your liking.

Note: You can substitute purple plums for apples.
