Ginger Bread Snowflakes

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Butter (soft)
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Molasses
  • 1/4 Cup Water
  • 5 Cups Flour
  • 2 1/2 Tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1 1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 1/2 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Tsp Ground Allspice
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • 3 3/4 Cups Confectioner Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Water
  • 1 1/2 Tsp Light Corn Syrup
  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract

Directions

  1. In a large bowl cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  2. Beat in molasses and water.

  3. Combine the flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, allspice and salt. Gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Refrigerate until easy to handle.

  4. On a lightly floured surface roll out to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut with 2 1/2 inch cutters dipped in flour.

  5. Bake on ungreased pan at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

  6. In a small bowl combine frosting ingredients. Beat until smooth.

  7. Use Baggie to pipe.
