Ingredients
- • 2-16 oz. cans garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
- • 1 clove garlic, peeled
- • 1/3 cup tahini (this is a sesame seed paste and can often be found by the peanut butter or organic section)
- • 1 teaspoon salt
- • Juice of 1 lemon
- • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, ground
- • 1/4 teaspoon cumin, ground
- • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, ground
- • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
- • 1 handful parsley
- • 3-4 green onions, cut into 1” pieces
- • Water as needed (approx 1/3 cup)
Directions

Place all ingredients in food processor or blender. Add water as needed to form a smooth paste. Adjust seasonings to taste.

Garnish with parsley if desired. Serve with pita bread wedges, fresh veggies, or crackers!
