Pasta with Asparagus

Ingredients

  • • 1/2 lb. pasta, cooked and drained
  • • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • • 1 Tablespoon butter or margarine
  • • 1/4 cup olive or vegetable oil
  • • 1 lb. fresh asparagus, cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces
  • • 1 teaspoon salt
  • • 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Cook pasta in boiling, salted water.

  2. Meanwhile, in a skillet, cook minced garlic in butter and oil for 2-3 minutes. Add asparagus and salt. Sauté until asparagus is crisp-tender, about 8-10 minutes.

  3. Put pasta in large bowl. Pour asparagus over hot pasta. Top with shredded cheese and serve.
