Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 6 Tablespoons shortening
- ⅔-3/4 cup milk
- 1 1/2 Tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 Tablespoon butter

Directions

Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together in mixing bowl. Cut in shortening. Add milk to make dough soft.

Peel and cut peaches. Arrange peaches in bottom of baking dish.

In pan, on stovetop, add cornstarch, brown sugar, and water. Cook until it thickens. Add lemon juice and butter. Pour over peaches.

Drop dough on peaches by spoonfuls. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes.
