Caramel Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 bag caramels
  • 1/3 cup evaporated milk
  • German Chocolate cake mix
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Grease and flour cake pan.

  2. Combine cake mix, butter, 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Stir by hand until dough holds together. Press half of the dough mixture into pan.

  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 6-8 minutes.

  4. In heavy saucepan, combine 50 caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until caramels are melted.

  5. Pour melted caramel over crust. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Crumble the remaining dough over the chips.

  6. Bake at 15-18 minutes.
