Ingredients

  • 1 onion, sauteed in olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3/4 cup tomato paste, dissolved in water
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 large tablespoon chile powder (or to taste)
  • Dark red kidney beans
  • Water

Directions

  1. Saute onion in olive oil

  2. Add ground beef and brown until no pink remains

  3. Add the rest of the ingredients, except the beans

  4. Boil for about 1/2 hour, then add the beans

  5. Add more chile powder to taste
