Bread And Butter Pickles

If sealed properly, these pickles will keep in the refrigerator for several months.

Ingredients
- 1 gal. sliced cucumbers
- 4 small white onions
- 2 green peppers
- 1/2 cup salt
- SYRUP:
- 5 cups sugar
- 5 cups vinegar
- 1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
- 1/2 tsp. mustard
- 1 tsp. celery seed
Directions

Mix first 4 ingredients together and let stand 2 hours.

Drain and put into glass jars.

Heat syrup ingredients to boiling point and pour over pickles and seal.
