Cheesy Broccoli Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs fresh broccoli, cut up
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 lb Velveeta cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Steam broccoli for 10 minutes.

  3. Cook celery and onion in butter over medium low heat for 10 minutes.

  4. Combine broccoli and celery and onion mixture.

  5. Heat soup and Velveeta in saucepan over low heat until cheese melts.

  6. Pour over broccoli mixture.

  7. Stir in garlic salt and pepper.

  8. Place in greased 2 quart casserole dish.

  9. Bake for 30 minutes.
