Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper (if desired)
- 4 slices onion
- cooking spray or vegetable oil
- 4 burger buns, split
- 4 slices pepper jack cheese
Directions

In medium bowl, mix ground beef, chili powder, and cayenne pepper. Shape into 4 patties, 1/2 inch thick. Spray both sides of onion slices with cooking spray or brush with oil.

Cook patties and onion slices on closed grill about 11 to 13 minutes, turning once.

To broil patties and onion slices, place on broiler pan; broil 4 to 6 inches from heat using times in recipe as a guide, turning once.
