Ingredients
- For the brownies:
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup Dr. Pepper (no substitutes)
- 2 cup flour
- 2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoon cocoa
- 1⁄2 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- For the frosting:
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 6 tablespoons Dr. Pepper
- 3 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 pound powdered sugar

For the brownies, heat the butter and Dr. Pepper until butter is melted. Do not boil. Mix dry ingredients.

Combine buttermilk, baking soda and vanilla. Add milk mixture to dry ingredients. Then add Dr. Pepper mixture. Bake in greased 15-by-10-inch pan for 25 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

For the frosting, bring to boil the butter, Dr. Pepper and cocoa. Add powdered sugar. Spread on warm cake and cut into one-inch squares when cool.
