Ingredients
- 8 pork chops
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt, divided
- 1 tablespoon Lawry's seasoning salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cup flour
- 1 1/2 cups oil
- 1 large onion
- 1 small red and green peppers, chopped
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup flour
- 1 1/2 cups cold water
Directions

Place meat in shallow dish and pour milk and egg over it.

Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt over the meat and let sit for 1 hour.

In plastic bag, combine seasoning, salt, pepper and flour.

Shake chops in flour to coat.

Reserve flour

Heat oil and fry chops
-
Drain and reserve 4 tablespoons oil

Heat butter in saute pan and saute onion, peppers and mushrooms with remaining garlic salt, about 3 minutes

Set aside

In shallow frying pan, heat reserved oil and stir in 1/4 cup reserved flour to make roux for gravy.

Stir until golden smooth paste forms and add 1 1/2 cups cold water.

Add meat and simmer for 10 minutes

Add vegetables and heat through
