Rum Cake

This is best if prepared at least a day in advance of serving.

Ingredients
- 1 box butter flavor cake mix (Duncan Hines)
- 1 small box instant vanilla pudding mix
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup oil (I use Crisco Oil)
- 1/2 cup light rum
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 stick butter (use butter, not margarine)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup rum

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease and flour a bundt pan. (Don’t use cooking spray-won’t come out well.)

Mix first six ingredients for 2 minutes until well blended. Pour into greased and floured bundt pan.

Bake cake in a preheated oven for 50-60 minutes.

After cake is done, boil remaining four ingredients on stove for 2-3 minutes.

Leave cake in pan and pour this sauce on top of cake while cake is still warm. Let this soak for 30-40 minutes. Turn cake out on serving plate. After it cools completely, sift confectioner’s sugar over the top.
