Tuna a la King

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon onion, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 7 ounces tuna in oil, drained
  • 3 ounces sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup cooked peas
  • 2 tablespoons pimento, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • biscuits

Directions

  1. In 2 quart saucepan, cook green pepper and onion in butter, just until tender, stirring frequently

  2. Blend in flour, then stir in the milk

  3. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly

  4. Break tuna into large pieces.

  5. Add peas, mushrooms, pimento and seasonings to the creamed mixture
  6. Heat through

  7. Serve with biscuits
