Brown Butter Icing

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter - softened
  • 6 c powdered sugar
  • 1 t vanilla
  • milk to thin to correct consistency

Directions

  1. melt ONE stick of butter over medium heat and cook until butter turns medium brown (10 minutes) Remove from heat and let cool a few minutes.. then refrigerate for 30 minutes

  2. in a bowl, cream brown butter and other stick of butter. add vanilla and sift 3 c sugar in.

  3. blend well.. adding a little milk if necessary.

  4. sift in remaining sugar, mix, adding milk as necessary. don’t get it too thin..

  5. put into piping bag with tip.
