Oven Baked Caramel Corn

Ingredients

  • 7 qts. Popped corn
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white karo syrup
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1 t. soda

Directions

  1. (I use the air popper for the pop corn – not the micro bags)

  2. Boil sugar, syrup, butter & salt for 5 min. Stirring continuously.

  3. Remove from heat & stir in soda. Immediately pour onto pop corn.

  4. Put in large roasting pan. Bake at 200 for 1 hr. stirring every 15 min.

  5. The pop corn will seam gummy when you first put into pan. But after baking it will be nice & crunchy – so don’t worry.
