Ingredients

  • 1 pound clarified butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds, toasted
  • 1 egg
  • flour

Directions

  1. Clarify the butter the previous night by placing the butter in a pot of water. Heat on low until the butter melts

  2. Place in the refrigerator and when butter solidifies, skim it off the top and discard the water

  3. Combine all of the ingredients and form a soft dough.

  4. Form into desired shape.

  5. Bake at 350 on ungreased cookie sheet until lightly brown

  6. Remove from cookie sheet onto waxed paper which has been sprinkled with powdered sugar

  7. When cool to the touch, sift additional powdered sugar over them.
