Susan’s Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 3 cups warm water
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 8 cups flour
  • Filling: 1 stick of butter; add sugar and cinnamon until crumbly.

Directions

  1. Mix together water, sugar, yeast and butter.

  2. Add eggs and 1/2 of the flour and salt. Then add the rest of the flout.

  3. Mixture will be thicker than pancake batter and thinner than bread.

  4. Break into hunks and roll into squares.

  5. Add filling, roll up and let raise for a couple of hours

  6. Slice into 1-1 1/2 " slices, set in greased pan and cover to raise.

  7. Bake 375 for 20-30 minutes

  8. Topping:

  9. 1/2 stick of butter

  10. 1 tsp. vanilla

  11. 1/4 tsp. cinnamon

  12. 1 lb. of powdered sugar

  13. coffee (1/4 cup)

  14. Add topping while still warm.

  15. Let cool then freeze.
