Spicy Maple Glazed Nuts

Regular or light pancake syrup can be used, but watch more closely or over-browning if pancake syrup is used.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cip pecan halves
  • 1/2 cup walnut pieces
  • 1/2 cup whole, unblanched almonds
  • 1 T. maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. cumin
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne
  • 1/8 tsp. salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Line a 10-by-15-inch jelly-roll pan with parchment paper.

  2. Combine nuts in a mixing bowl. Drizzle syrup over nuts, then sprinkle with seasonings. Toss to coat nuts evenly.

  3. Spread nuts in a single layer on prepared pan. Bake 15 to 20 minutes, or until lightly toasted, stirring midway through.
