Chocolate Pinwheel Cookies

Cook time: 6 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 C. cookie mix
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 3 T. unsweetened cocoa powder

Directions

  1. Preheat ove to 375 deg. Grease cookie sheets.

  2. In large bowl, mix together all ingredients except cocoa. Divide dough in half. Add cocoa to 1/2 dough. Cover and chill doughs separately.

  3. Roll dough speartely on floured board into 2 rectangles about 1/4" thickness. Top one wiht the other and press together with a rolling pin. Roll up lengthwise, jelly roll fashion. Chill until firm.

  4. Cut rolls into 1/8" slices and bake on prepared cookie sheet for about 6 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Makes about 48 cookies.
