Almond-Bacon-Cheese Crostini

Ingredients

  • 1 French baguette
  • 4 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 c (4 oz) shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/3 c mayonnaise
  • 1/4 c sliced almonds, toasted
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1/4 t salt
  • Toasted sliced almons, for garnish

Directions

  1. Slice baguette into 36 (1/4-inch-thick) slices. Arrange slices on an ungreased baking sheet; bake at 400 degrees for 6 mines or until golden.

  2. Combine bacon, cheese, mayo, sliced almonds, green onion and salt in a small bowl; stir well. Spread cheesae mixture on slices; bake at 400 degrees for 5 mintes or until cheese melts. Garnish with the sliced almonds, if desired. Serve immediately.
