Tofu hummus

Ingredients

  • 14 ounces firm tofu, drained
  • 1 can (15 ounces) garbanzo beans (chick peas), drained and rinsed
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or more to taste
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Directions

  1. Blend all ingredients in a food processor or blender until smooth.

  2. Serve at room temperature or slightly chilled. Serve with large crackers, toasted pita triangles or bagel crisps.

  3. Variation: For a chunkier style hummus, smash all ingredients together with a potato masher instead of processing in a food processor or blender.
