Ingredients
- 3/4 c honey or 1 c sugar
- 1/2 vanilla bean halved lengthwise
- 2 c dried fruit (pears, nectarines, peaches and apricots
Directions

Combine 3 c water with honey in saucepan.

Bring to boil and stir to dissolve.

Scape seeds of bean into syrup and add pod.

Add the fruit, reduce heat to low and cook until soft, about 20 min or longer.

When fruit is tender, remove it with a spoon to a bowl.

Simmer remaining liquid until syrupy and covered in bubbles, about 5 min.

Then pour over fruit.
