Ingredients
- 2 c milk
- 1 t finely grated orange zest
- 1 oz dark chocolate, 60-70% cocoa
- 1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 c sugar
- 1/4 t salt
- 1/4 c cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 c milk or water
- 1/4 t almond extract
- 5 T cold cream
Directions

WArm half the milk with orange zest and dark chocolate in saucepan over low heat.

Combine cocoa, sugar and salt in bowl.

Stir in 1/3 c water to make a smooth paste.

Whisk paste into the warm milk.

Mix the cornstarch with the remaining milk, then add to saucepan.

Raise heat to medium-high and cook, stirring contantly, until mixture thickens.

Then lower the head and cook, stirring a few more min.

Remove from the heat and immediately stir in almond extract.
