Green Jello

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces pear halves
  • 3 ounces lime Jello
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Two 3 ounce cream cheese, softened
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

  1. Drain pears. Reserve 3/4 cups of the syrup

  2. Dice pears and set aside

  3. Dissolve Jello and salt in water.

  4. Add syrup and lemon juice

  5. Pour 1/4 cups into 8 × 4 loaf pan.

  6. Chill and set about 1 hour.

  7. Add gelatin mixture to cream cheese and beat until smooth.

  8. Add cinnamon and pears

  9. Spoon into pan and chill about 4 hours
