Ingredients
- 8 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- white liquor
- 1 pound semisweet chocolate coarsely chopped
- 4 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 bag almonds toasted
- 3 packages lady fingers
- 1 pound butter
Directions

In one bowl, beat butter well and gradually add 3/4 cups sugar

Beat the egg yolks in another bowl, until thick enough to ribbon and gradually add 3/4 cups of sugar

Beat the egg whites until stiff and add the egg yolk mixture

Add vanilla and chocolate

Fold in the egg whites

Lay the lady fingers flat in a dish and sprinkle with the liquor

Pour half of the mixture on top

Repeat, adding lady fingers and mixture

Sprinkle with almonds and shaved chocolate
