Praline Cheesecake

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup toasted pecans, chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eight ounce cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup pecan halves, toasted
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup corn starch

Directions

  1. Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar and chopped pecans

  2. Stir in melted butter

  3. Press into bottom and half way up a 9" spring form pan.

  4. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 10 minutes

  5. Beat cream cheese, 1 cup brown sugar, evaporated milk, flour and 1 teaspoon vanilla.

  6. Add eggs and beat until blended

  7. Pour into crust

  8. Bake for 50-55 minutes at 350 or until set

  9. Cool for 30 minutes

  10. Loosen sides and remove rim

  11. Cool completely and arrange nuts on top of cake

  12. Before serving, combine corn syrup and corn starch and cook until bubbly

  13. Remove from heat and stir in remaining vanilla.

  14. Cool slightly

  15. Spoon some of the sauce over the nuts on cheese cake.

  16. Serve remaining sauce on the side
