Ingredients
- First layer
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 square unsweetened chocolate
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 cups graham crumbs
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1 cup shredded coconut

- Second layer
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons custard powder (or vanilla pudding mix)
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 2 cups icing sugar
- ----------
- Third layer
- 6 squares semisweet chocolate
- 1 tablespoon butter
Directions

Butter a 9×9×2 pan

First layer

Put first 4 ingredients in double boiler

Cook over boiling water until well blended

Add egg and cook 5 minutes, stirring

Stir in next 3 ingredients

Press into pan

Chill 15 minutes

Second layer
-
Cream butter until fluffy

Beat in custard powder and milk

Beat in icing sugar until smooth

Spread over first layer

Chill at least 15 minutes

Third layer
-
Melt chocolate and butter over low heat

Spread over second layer
-
Chill until firm

Cut in squares and keep refrigerated or frozen
