Candied Popcorn and Peanuts

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • 6 English Toffee bars (1-1/8 oz ea.)
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 8 cups popped popcorn
  • 1 8-1/2 gram jar peanuts, unsalted

Directions

  1. In a heavy saucepan, heat toffee bars and corn syrup over low heat until completely melted – about 5 minutes. Stir often.

  2. Pour the popped popcorn into a vary large deep pan.

  3. Add the warm toffee mixture and nuts to the popcorn.

  4. Toss with 2 large wooden spoons until popcorn is coated.

  5. Let cool.

  6. Gently break up any large chunks with wooden spoon.
