Cinnamon Sugar Swirl Quick Bread

Ingredients

  • 1/3 c. white sugar
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 TBSP baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/3 c. vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9×5″ loaf pan.

  2. In a large bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt, and 1 c. sugar.

  3. Add egg, milk, and oil to flour mixture. Stir until just moistened.

  4. Pour half of the batter into pan.

  5. Sprinkle with cinnamon and 1/3 c. sugar.

  6. Cover with remaining batter. Top with more cinnamon/sugar if desired.

  7. Bake in preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into center of loaf comes out clean.

  8. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

  9. Wrap in foil and let sit overnight before slicing.
