Garlic Bread
(from temporaryworlds’s recipe box)
Parmesan herb, celery seed, paprika, and black pepper can be replaced by 1 teaspoon Schilling Salad Supreme Seasoning. Original recipe called for grated parmesan cheese in place of parmesan herb, but this substitute worked well too.

Ingredients
- 1 loaf Italian Bread
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 teaspoons garlic power
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon Parmesan herb
- 1/4 teaspoon celery seed
- 1/8 teaspoon paprika
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
-
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
-
Cut the bread into 1-inch slices, not quite cutting through the bottom crust, so the slices stay attached to one another.
-
Melt the butter in a small pot over medium heat. As soon as it is melted, remove the pot from the heat.
-
Add garlic, oregano, parmesan herb, celery seed, paprika, and black pepper to pot and mix well.
-
Cut a piece of aluminum foil about 4 inches longer than the length of the bread.
-
Place the bread in the center of the foil and, with a spoon, apply 1/2 teaspoon butter mixture to each side of each slice.
-
Wrap the foil around the loaf, twisting the ends.
-
Bake for 15 minutes, or until the steam escapes when you unwrap the foil. The bread will be crisp on the outside, soft in the middle. Serve immediately.
