Melon-Lime Refresher

Ingredients

  • 5 1/2 cups chopped seeded cantaloupes or 5 1/2 cups watermelon
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice

Directions

  1. Add all the ingredients to a blender; puree until smooth.

  2. Strain the mixture through a fine sieve into a large bowl; stir in 4 cups water.

  3. Rub the sieve with the back of a spoon to push through any remaining fruit liquid, and discard pulp.

  4. Put the fruit-water mixture in a gallon jar or 2 large pitchers; cover and chill.

  5. Before serving, mix well; pour over ice into glasses.
