Caramel Apple Spiced Cider

Ingredients

  • 4 cups apple cider
  • 3 tablespoons caramel syrup (the ice cream topping)
  • 1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 4 tablespoons sweetened whipped cream (optional)

Directions

  1. Use a 2-quart slow cooker; pour the apple cider into the slow cooker and add the caramel syrup.

  2. Add the spices; cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours or High for 2 hours, until heated through.

  3. Stir well and ladle into mugs; top with a dollop of sweetened whipped cream.
