Black Bean Spread

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups cooked black beans (cooked from dry, or canned, drained)
  • 1/3 cup sliced leek (white and light green parts only)
  • 1/3 cup salsa
  • 4 sprigs fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

Directions

  1. Place all the ingredients in a food processor container fitted with a steel blade.

  2. Cover and process until smooth.

  3. Variation-add fresh chopped or canned jalapeno peppers to taste.
