- Garlic
- Lg can Tomato sauce
- salt, pepper and a dash of nutmeg
- 2 pounds prepared macaroni
- 1/2pound butter
- 3/4cup flour
- 4 eggs
- 3/4quart milk
- 2-3 egg whites
- Romano cheese
Directions

Prepare the macaroni

Saute the onion and brown the ground beef

Add the spices and tomato paste

Grease a2 9 × 13 pans

Mix sauce into prepared macaroni

Pour melted butter and grated Romano cheese over the pasta

Beat 2-3 egg whites and pour over mixture

Prepare the bechamel

Grease a2 9 × 13 pans

Melt the butter and add the flour to form a rue, stirring quickly and constantly

Heat up the milk and gradually add to the flour mixture

Mix sauce into prepared macaroni

Add a dash of cinnamon

Stir until thickened

Pour melted butter and grated Romano cheese over the pasta

Pour over pastichio

Dot with pieces of butter and add more grated cheese

Beat 2-3 egg whites and pour over mixture

Bake in preheated 350 degree oven until top is brown.
