Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy cream, whipped
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 8 ounces whipped cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 8 slices sturdy day-old pumpkin bread (1/2 inch thick slices)
Directions

Using a hand mixer, mix the whipped cream, sugar, vanilla, cream cheese, and spices in a bowl; chill.
- In a pie pan or other shallow dish, whisk the eggs, milk, and salt together.
- Soak bread slices in egg mixture for about 30 seconds on each side.
- Heat a small frying pan sprayed with nonstick spray over medium heat.
- Place soaked bread in pan and cover; cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until lightly browned.
- Remove and let cool to slightly warm.
- Place a bread slice on a plate and then spread a thick layer of cream cheese mixture on top.
- Garnish with a little sprinkle of nutmeg or cinnamon.
