Ingredients

• 1 pound butter, softened
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 2 tbsp vanilla
• 5 cups flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp salt

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees

2. Mix ingredients together in order listed

3. Knead well

4. Divide dough into three rolls and wrap in wax paper

5. Refrigerate overnight

6. Roll out dough to 1/4" thickness

7. Cut with cookie cutters

8. Place on greased cookie sheet

9. Sprinkle with sugar

10. Bake for 10 minutes

11. Remove to rack and cool
