Ingredients
- 1 cup Seitan or firm Tofu
- 2 t. paprika
- 2 T. nutritional yeast
- 2 t. onion powder
- 1 t. garlic powder
- 3/4 cup water
- 2 T. nut butter
- 1 t. Liquid Smoke
- 1 T. soy sauce
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 F and lightly spray 8″×8″ baking dish with oil.

Mix first five ingredients together in a large bowl.

Mix water with nut butter, Liquid Smoke and soy sauce. Add to dry ingredients.

Stir to mix well and knead lightly in the bowl for a couple of minutes.

Put the dough into the baking dish, flatten to evenly fill the pan. Cut into 8 strips with sharp knife, then in half crosswise to form 16 pieces.

Bake 25 minutes.

Prepare grill.

Remove from oven and recut strips.

Brush top with barbecue sauce. Invert pan on grill or lift out with spatula and place on grill sauce side down.

Brush top with barbecue sauce. Watch closely to prevent burning. Turn and brush one more time until evenly browned.

Remove to a platter and cut or pull papart the individual rubs.
