Golden Baked Macaroni & Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 cup margarine or butter
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 5 cup milk
  • 4 cup (1 lb.) sharp cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Cook macaroni. Drain.

  2. In large saucepan, over medium heat, melt butter.

  3. Stir in flour, mustard, and salt. Gradually stir in milk

  4. Cook and stir until mixture thickens slightly and bubbles. Remove from heat.

  5. Add 2 cups cheese. Stir until melted.

  6. In large bowl, combine sauce with macaroni.

  7. Spoon into greased 9×13 baking dish. Top with remaining 2 cups cheese.

  8. 375, 40 min or until hot and bubbly
