- 3/4 c. butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 4 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. of baking soda
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4+ tsp. cream of tartar
- 2 1/4 c. buttermilk
- 2 1/4 c. raisins

Cream butter & sugar.

Sift four, soda, powder, salt, & tartar.

Add to butter mix with buttermilk in thirds.
