Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c dried tart cherries
- 1/2 c chopped dried pineapple
- 4 T unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 c flour
- 4 t baking powder
- 1/2 t baking soda
- 2 t salt
- 1 1/2 c orange juice
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Place cherries and pineapple in a large bowl. Cover with boiling water, let stand for 15 minutes, drain, pat dry.

Butter and flour 2 baking pans.

Mix butter and sugar.

Add eggs, beat well.

Sift dry ingredients twice.

Alternate with orange juice, beginning and ending with dry.

Stir in fruit.

Let stand for 20 minutes.

Bake for 45-55 minutes.

Cool for 10 minutes in pan then on racks.
