Asian Meatballs

Ingredients

  • Meatballs:
  • 1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped water chestnuts
  • 1/3 cup Progresso® plain bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup plum sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375°F. Spray 15×10×1-inch pan with cooking spray. In large bowl, mix meatball ingredients. Shape into about 36 (1-inch) meatballs. Place in pan.

  2. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until meatballs are thoroughly cooked and no longer pink in center.

  3. Spray 3- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Transfer meatballs to slow cooker. In small bowl, mix sauce ingredients. Add sauce to meatballs; stir gently to mix.

  4. Cover; cook on Low heat setting 2 to 4 hours.
