Pulled Pork sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 5 lbs boneless pork butt shoulder
  • 1 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 c water
  • 16 soft sandwich buns

Directions

  1. Combine all seasonings in a small bowl and rub evenly over roast

  2. place meat in a 6 quart slow cooker

  3. add water

  4. cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on hight for 4-5 hours or until pork is very tender

  5. place pork on large cutting board or platter and let rest for 10-15 min.

  6. pull, slice or chop to serve

  7. serve in buns with barbecue sauce
