Decadent Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake

Ingredients

  • 18 chocolate graham cracker squares, finely crushed
  • 1/2 c butter, melted
  • 2 TBSP sugar
  • 2 8oz pkg cream cheese, softened
  • 1 c peanut butter
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c semisweet chocolate pieces
  • 2 TBSP milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • peanuts (optional)

Directions

  1. oven 300 deg.

  2. combine crackers, melted butter adn 2 TBSP sugar

  3. press onto bottom and 1 inch upside of 9 in pan; set aside

  4. in bowl beat 1 pkg cream cheese with electric mixer until smooth

  5. beat in peanut butter adn 1/4 c sugar until combined

  6. fold in 1 lightly beaten egg – set aside

  7. in saucepan stir chocolate over low heat until melted and smooth

  8. remove from heat

  9. cube remaining cream cheese- add to chocolate – stir to combine

  10. stir in milk and vanilla until smooth

  11. fold in 2 lightly beaten eggs

  12. spread half the chocolate mixture into pan

  13. carefully spread all the peanut butter mixture over layer

  14. evenly spread remaining chocolate mixture

  15. bake 45 minutes or until top is set when lightly shaken

  16. outer 2 inches of top will be slightly puffed adn dry looking – center willl look darker and wet

  17. cool in pan on rack 15 min.

  18. use small sharp knife to loosen crust from sides – cool 30 min.

  19. remove sides of pan – cool completely on rack

  20. cover – chill 4 hours

  21. let stand at room temp 15 minutes before serving.

  22. Sprinkle with peanuts (optional)
