Ingredients

• 3/4 cup Jif Creamy Peanut Butter
• 1/2 cup Crisco All-Vegetable Shortening
• 1 1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
• 3 tbsp milk
• 1 tbsp vanilla
• 1 egg
• 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 3/4 tsp salt
• 3/4 tsp baking soda

Directions

1. eheat oven to 375.

2. Combine Jif, Crisco, light brown sugar, milk, and vanilla in a large bowl.

3. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended.

4. Add egg.

5. Beat just until blended.

6. Combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture at low speed. Mix just until blended.

7. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cooke baking sheet.

8. Flatten slightly in criss cross pattern with tines of fork.

9. Bake at 375 for 7-8 minutes or until set and just beginning to brown.

10. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet.

11. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
