Apple Raisin Crunch

Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil spray
  • 2 lbs. Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg, ground
  • TOPPING
  • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 3/4 cup quick-cooking oatmeal, uncooked
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp. light stick margarine, melted

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. Lightly spray an 8-inch square baking pan with vegetable oil spray. Put all the filling ingredients except the nutmeg in the baking pan. Stir together.

  3. Sprinkle the nutmeg over the apple mixture.

  4. In a small bowl, stir together the topping ingredients. Sprinkle over the apple mixture.

  5. Bake for 40 minutes. Let cool slightly before serving.
